Cultivar discussion:
The Marrone di Susa is a consistant producer of excellent chestnuts. Nut size
is medium to large. Nuts fall in the burr late season. The nuts are
very easy to peel. Some locals say this is our best tasting chestnut. The
tree has a spreading growth form. Medium production level. Originally from
Italy. One of the best storing chestnuts.
